DESCRIPTION:The Meridian Firefighters Local 4627 Benevolent Fund sponsors an annual Salmon BBQ the first Friday of August. Your ticket entitles you to Applewood smoked salmon\, coleslaw\, fries\, soda\, and bread. All proceeds go to the Meridian Fire Fighters Local 4627 Benevolent Fund and the Meridian Burn Out Fund. The Burn-Out Fund provides emergency assistance to families and individuals who are impacted by fire and other disasters. The Burn-Out Fund has provided relief to many Meridian residents. Our aim is to respond immediately and assist disaster victims with resources for their urgent shelter\, food and clothing needs. \nWhen: First Friday in August. Seniors served at 5 p.m.\, general public served at 6 p.m. \nWhere: Julius M. Kleiner park \n1900 North Records Way\, Meridian\, ID \nMenu: Applewood-smoked salmon\, fries\, coleslaw\, rolls\, hot dogs for kids\, soda\, milk\, water \nTickets: $20 for adults; $10 for kids 6-12; free for children 5 and under.

SUMMARY:12th Annual Luck o' the Irish Casino Night
DESCRIPTION:The Meridian Optimist Club\, together with the Meridian Firefighter’s Benevolent Fund\, will be co-sponsoring our 12th annual “Luck O’ the Irish” Casino Night.  This event will be held Saturday\, March 14\, 2020\, from 6:30 – 11:00 p.m.  The event is being held at the “Center at the Park” in the Julius M. Kleiner Park\, next to the The Village\, 1920 N. Records Avenue\, Meridian\, Idaho. \nProceeds from this event will go to the Meridian Firefighters Burnout Fund\, Meridian Optimist Club’s Youth Programs\, and the Meridian Optimist Junior Rifle Club.    \nEntry tickets are $5 per person\, which includes play money and a door prize ticket.  Bring two non-perishable food items for the Meridian Food Bank and receive $5 off admission and an extra $100 in play money!  Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the evening with many great items to be raffled.  There will also be three door prizes given away throughout the evening of $50 cash each.   If you are interested in purchasing advanced entry tickets\, please contact Bill or Kim at info@meridianoptimist.org. \n
